  • The BHS staff was so generous in their giving for the Thanksgiving meal boxes for families in need this year
    • We were able to make an additional 5 boxes for extra families

  • We observed a LOTE PLC Team data meeting, and were so encouraged and impressed with the depth of their data discussions
    • The work they are both doing to get students excited about learning Spanish at high levels is admirable
    •  Mr. Senor (Greg Matkosky) and Profe M-G (Laura Mollenkopf-Grill) are engaging our students in rigorous work, AND collaborating thoughtfully with each other to ensure learning for all

  • National honor Society lead the annual Banquet in a Box campaign
    • Our counselling staff identified 10 of our families in need and made arrangements for families to pick up or have the boxes delivered
    • Thanks to our BHS staff, the Administration Offices, and an outside donor of an additional 4 turkeys
    • 15 families received boxes filled with traditional Thanksgiving fixings, items for snacks, breakfast, dessert and leftovers
    • Thanks to all who helped we exceeded our goal by 5 
  • BCSD truly is an amazing place to be a part of

  • Thank you to the entire BCSD for your donations to support the BTA Peanut Butter and Jelly Drive that benefited the Salvation Army food pantry

  • Mr. Redband's Entrepreneurship class (which is 6 GCC credits) participated in the Virtual Business Professional Day on 11/20
    • This year's company is called "Fanline"
      • They sell sports apparel, tickets, and equipment
      • The company presented in front of several other schools and virtual businesses to introduce their company and prepare for sales in December
    • The Virtual Business experience will culminate in March with a Trade Fair at GCC
      • Each company will have a booth, signage, marketing material, and will be able to sell to participants who receive $5,000 of virtual dollars to spend
    •  The students did a wonderful job at Professional Day getting out of their comfort zones, networking, and developing skills and memories that will benefit them in college and career

  • The BMS Fall Family Night was an outstanding success
    • The event brought together students, families, staff, and community partners in a way that truly highlighted the strength of our school community
    • Attendance exceeded expectations, and the positive energy throughout the evening reflected the strong connections we continue to build with our families

  • A Special THANK YOU goes out to the faculty and staff at the MS for their GENEROUS donations for the Thanksgiving Meals we provided to 25 middle school families
    •  Not only were they provided with a turkey and all the sides and dessert, but they were also given milk, butter, OJ, cinnamon rolls, pastas, rice, several loaves of bread and peanut butter, as well as a food gift card
    • We are grateful for Tracy Byrnes and Pastor Dan; Assembly of God, for their time and generous donations from the patrons and the Church.
    • In addition, I am indebted to Stacy Marzello and Kristen Gomez, who helped organize and deliver meals over two days with our SRO, Mia Kennedy leading the way

  • In the library, during November, our students worked hard to create over 170 reusable placemats and numerous cards for our Veterans at the VA
    • The students did an outstanding job of creating respectful pieces that reflected our gratitude for their service

    • We exceeded our goal and purchased hundreds of books for the library bookshelves, as well as hundreds of books for upcoming give-a-ways
    • Congratulations to Dominic Crane who won the All For Books Basket Raffle

  • Jen Sloan, Melissa Calandra, Joe Rebisz, Dan Geiger, Eric Knapp & Trish Hamilton:
    • Thank you so much for all the help and prep on planning the 4th Grade Survival Day to end the Wit & Wisdom module this year with a life-long memory
    • The students went through a hands-on adventure designed to challenge their problem-solving skills and teamwork
    • Students rotated through a variety of stations that placed them in “extreme settings,” where they used nature guides, maps, tools, and critical thinking to “survive” the day
    • From navigating with compasses to identifying plants and building mini shelters, each activity encouraged resilience, creativity, and collaboration while connecting to our learning about how people adapt and thrive in different environments
    • This team is the ultimate "survival guide" necessary to the prosperity of an event like this
    • THANK YOU!

  • Codie Grazioplene worked incredibly hard to plan, organize, and lead a culminating activity for the end of the fourth-grade ELA module called “Survival Day”
